Building on the knowledge of normal anatomy and histology presented in VTMED 5100, this course emphasizes recognition of alterations on tissue architecture at the gross and microscopic level. Students will learn to use appropriate terminology to describe and interpret lesions as well as trace the sub cellular alterations that lead to these alteration. The goal of this course is to allow students to recognize basic tissue reactions to injury and begin to apply this knowledge to clinical situations.
