Core Leadership Skills for a VUCA World is designed to provide students with an opportunity to expand their knowledge and understanding of the key leadership skills required for success in today's volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous business world through discussion and interaction with an experienced practitioner and former leader of the United States Army. The course will be comprised of four modules: 1) Leadership Principles for a Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous World; 2) Developing and Communicating Vision and Strategy; 3) Setting Conditions for Success; and, 4) Character and Leadership. Coursework to include readings, discussion, and a final paper.

    Pre-req: NCC 5040 Attendance at all sessions is Mandatory! Add/Drop dates: August 15th at 9:00am thru September 6th at 11:59pm or prior to first class if class is held before these dates. Students may attend first class, but must drop BEFORE the 2nd class meeting to avoid penalties. Send email to gm-registrar@cornell.edu before the 2nd meeting date to request the drop. There is a late fee of $100.00 for each add or drop transaction after the 2nd class meeting date and drops after the 2nd class meeting will result in a W on the transcript. There will be no enrollment from a wait list into a class if you have a time conflict or will put you over your maximum allowed credits.
