Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2022-2023.
Examines a range of interpersonal communication strategies and skills required of successful managers in the workplace. The course explores critical channels of communication different from formal management presentations and written business documents. Topics include self-evaluation, listening skills, intercultural considerations, contributing effectively to meetings, providing effective feedback, debate vs. dialogue, and persuasion in dyads and small groups. This class is highly interactive, and its success depends on pre-reading, class participation and open discussion.

Instruction Mode: In Person
Open to Johnson and Graduate Students Only * Must Attend First Class* ******MAXIMUM TWO ABSENCES ALLOWED****** Enrollment limited to: Johnson and Graduate students. Add/Drop Dates: August 15th at 9:00am thru September 6th at 11:59pm with an additional Add/Drop period beginning October 12th at 8:00am thru October 19th at 11:59pm. After October 19th permission of the instructor is required to add/drop and a late fee of $100.00 will be charged. If you are dropping after November 9th you will also receive a "W" on your transcript in addition to the late fees. Non-Johnson students must see their college registrar regarding policies connected with adding/dropping a second half Johnson School class. A petition may be required. There will be no enrollment from a wait list into a class if you have a time conflict or will put you over your maximum allowed credits.
