Financial Modeling

Financial modeling is the art and science of constructing spreadsheet models of firms' future financial statements. This class draws on and integrates students' knowledge of concepts learned in prior accounting classes by modeling the effect on the income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows of financial transactions such as leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate reorganizations.

Permission Note Enrollment limited to: Johnson and graduate students.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: NCC 5000 or equivalent, as well as mastery of basic Excel skills.

    Enrollment limited to MBA, Graduate and Undergraduate Seniors. Add/Drop Dates: August 15th at 9:00am thru August 29th at 11:59pm. After August 29th, permission of the instructor is required to add/drop and a late fee of $100.00 will be charged. If you are dropping after September 19th you will also receive a "W" on your transcript in addition to the late fees. NON-MBA students may add themselves to the waitlist during their enrollment periods, however MBA Students have priority into the classes and NON-MBA students will be enrolled: 1) IF seats are still available after MBA students complete their enrollment period and 2) IF the instructor allows. This course counts as a Management Science Elective.
