The course introduces the basic tools for optimal pricing decisions by firms and the key issues of modern industries. It covers the pricing behavior of firms operating under perfect competition, monopoly, monopolistic competition, and oligopoly, and examines the challenges faced at the industry level as well as at the individual firm level. The goal is to understand the way firms set their production plans while operating in a global economic environment challenged by complicated phenomena.

  • Instruction Mode: In Person
    Add/Drop Dates: There will be no enrollment from a wait list into a class if you have a time conflict or if enrollment will put you over your maximum allowed credits. Students not enrolled in the Johnson MPS program may add themselves to the waitlists during their enrollment periods, however Johnson MPS Students have priority into the class and those who are not a Johnson MPS student will be enrolled: 1) IF seats are still available after Johnson MPS students complete their enrollment period and 2) IF the instructor allows.
