ORIE 5100

This project-based course puts students in the roles of analysts and advisors to an industrial firm facing broad challenges in customer service, product quality, market share, and profitability. Students, working in teams, design a manufacturing logistics system and conduct capacity, material flow, and cost analyses of their design. By taking a view that integrates marketing, distribution, manufacturing, and engineering, students help the company transform into a world-class competitor. Some students have nicknamed this course "Consulting 101".
