Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2021-2022.
Students study private membership clubs and the leadership role in club administration. The application of current management principles in a not-for-profit environment is discussed, and club management is compared to other areas of the hospitality industry and other notfor-profit organizations. Topics include the history and governance of private clubs, tournament, facility, and recreation management; legal, financial, and legislative issues; human resource considerations; and marketing, food and beverage and special events management.

Permission Note Enrollment limited to: SHA students seeking HADM elective credit only. Not open to: freshmen or sophomores.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Corequisite: HADM 3030 for SHA students who wish to receive HADM elective credit.
Satisfies Requirement Satisfies HADM or free electives for SHA students.

This counts as HADM elective credits for Nolan students who matriculated prior to Fall 2022, will count as free electives for those who matriculate after Fall 2022. Nolan students must first enroll in HADM 3030 before they can self-enroll in this class.
