The goal of this graduate course is to familiarize students with advanced experimental and characterization techniques. The course will provide students a theoretical as well as a hands-on experience with sample preparation, testing and interpretation in order to encourage graduate students to use these techniques for their own research projects. The course will enable students to think critically about laboratory experiments and to interpret data holistically based on results obtained across multiple scales.

Prerequisites/Corequisites Recommended prerequisite: CEE 6750, chemistry, physics, and crystallography.
