The mission of the class is to learn about the possibilities that Cornell offers for entering B.F.A. students' artistic and curricular development. Through a series of seminars, strategic advising session, and planned activities, students will build a community together, investigate the cross-disciplinary nature of contemporary arts practices, learn about our AAP in New York Program, and understand the possibilities Cornell offers for artistic and curricular development.

Permission Note Enrollment limited to: B.F.A. students.

Comments There is a day trip to NYC. The trip will be centered around developing an art community or "art cohort" through shared art experiences.

  • Instruction Mode: In Person
    This course is for the B.F.A. freshman only. 10/8 trip to NYC. Developing an art community or “art cohort” through shared art experiences. In this module students will take a day trip via bus to visit our Cornell NYC program and studio. Students will meet our NY Program Director, tour the studios, and visit with current students in residence. Later afternoon session at the Whitney Museum of Art with dinner in nearby neighboring restaurants. Students will return to campus in the evening. Bus leaves from Milstein Hall to AAP NYC.
