Because of spatial restrictions, we have very limited spots for our western classical ballet class this semester. Instruction will be remote but each student will be alone in a dance studio space. We will have each individual student in a classroom dance studio, or in the case of the larger studio, a temporary dividing wall is being constructed to accommodate two students with a wall between them. But the instruction will not be in person but rather via a computer in the classroom. Each student will have a playlist to use with each exercise matched to a pre-recorded track by one of our resident accompanists. There will be rotating synchronous class meetings allowing each student to take one synchronous class and one recorded class per week but the student will be scheduled into a dance studio so they are able to fully use the space without the risk of dancing closely with other students. If preferred, a student will be allowed to take the class synchronously twice a week in their own space or they can sign up for the class and be scheduled in a studio to take two recorded classes per week but a class taken in that way will be for zero credits... although the student still must be registered
Enrollment limited to students who are able to attend in-person classes in the Ithaca area.
