Learn basic rock climbing skills on real rock! We'll spend four days during the peak of fall foliage climbing, camping, and relaxing at Minnewaska State Park in the heart of the Catskill Mountains. We will cover climbing equipment and technique, knots, belaying, rappelling, and natural history. An instructor- to-student ratio of 1:4 ensures lots of personal attention and climbing time. NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE NECESSARY.

  • Drop Deadline: Sept. 6th; Course Fee: $445; if you have problems with online sign ups email coed@cornell.edu. The first class will meet on campus in Bartels Hall, room B01 then head up to the Lindseth Climbing Center, also in Bartels Hall. The second class will meet at the Lindseth Climbing Center. The weekend trip will first meet at Bartels Hall and then head out to Minnewaska State Park in the heart of the Catskill Mountains. Transportation is provided for classes off campus.
