Marlon Nichols, MBA '2011, Managing Partner, Cross Culture Ventures and MaC Venture Capital, will be offering a course on Venture Capital Apprenticeship. This course will teach capital investment process, including how to source a pre-seed/ seed stage start-up investment opportunity, evaluate the start-up for investment, create an investment memorandum, and pitch their investment recommendation to an investment committee. It will include a hands-on investment evaluation of startup companies with the potential for investment from Cross Culture Ventures. CEO's of some of the most exciting fast growth companies will join class sessions for interactive discussions. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to present to an investment committee of practicing venture capital professionals.

  • ** S/U or Letter Grade Only - NO AUDITS ALLOWED ** Deadline to change grade option: after 1st class meeting. Add/Drop dates: Johnson Students – August 20th at 8:00am thru September 12th at 4:00pm or prior to first class if class is held before these dates. Students may attend first class, but must drop BEFORE the 2nd class meeting to avoid penalties. Send email to gm-registrar@cornell.edu before the 2nd meeting date to request the drop. There is a late fee of $100.00 for each add or drop transaction after the 2nd class meeting date. You will also receive a "W" on your transcript in addition to the late fees after the 2nd class meeting date. There will be no enrollment from a wait list into a class if you have a time conflict or will put you over your maximum allowed credits. Non-Johnson students may add themselves to the waitlists during the enrollment periods, however Johnson Students have priority into the classes and non-Johnsons will be enrolled: 1) IF seats are still available after Johnson students complete their enrollment period and 2) IF the instructor allows.
