The modern computing devices vary on their sizes and functionalities, which places challenges on designing appropriate interaction techniques. This course will introduce a variety of novel interaction techniques, which are designed to address interaction challenges for different computing devices (e.g. wearables, virtual reality). We will discuss the design and technical principles of the cutting-edge interaction techniques through pre-assigned reading materials (e.g. papers, book chapters). The students will need to learn the basic methods of implementing and evaluating interaction techniques by individual assignments and a semester-long team project.
