  • This course explores the origins and structures that govern employee benefit plans. This is a survey course exploring risk, the role of the private and public sectors, why we have employment based benefit plans and the impact of various employee benefit laws, including the Internal Revenue Code, the Employee Retirement income Security Act, as amended, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended , the ADEA, The ADA, and the Equal Pay Act, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Acts.
