  Course Description
Course information provided by the 2019-2020 Catalog.
Study of the important classes of carbon compounds-including those encountered in the biological sciences. The course emphasizes their three-dimensional structures, mechanisms of their characteristic reactions, their synthesis, methods of identifying them, and their role in modern science and technology.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: CHEM 2080 or advanced placement; or permission of instructor.
Forbidden Overlaps Forbidden Overlap: due to an overlap in content, students will receive credit for only one course in the following group: CHEM 1570, CHEM 3530, CHEM 3570, CHEM 3590.
