Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2018-2019.
Grab your bike and get ready for a quick release from hectic campus life. Cruise along double and single track trails, grind up hills, splash through creek crossings, pause at scenic vistas and explore the local trails in style. Along the way we'll cover essential cycling skills for clearing logs, navigating downhill terrain, climbing hills and getting the most out of your bike. Learn trail etiquette, trailside bike repairs and other useful tips to keep you and your bike working well together. Time in the saddle will improve your bike technique, strength and confidence. High instructor to participant ratio ensures flexibility for splitting into small groups to match ability levels and ambitions. No extensive mountain biking experience necessary, but students should be very comfortable on a bike as this course is true trail riding.
