This class will cover the Primary Series with advancement as a class through subsequent stages of postures. Use breath (ujayii), bandhas (energy locks), and drishti (gaze point), as the solid foundation to the asana practice; learn modifications to the more challenging 'gateway postures' and finishing sequence; work within the limitations of your own abilities while learning to expand your personal practice. We will also discuss the eight limbs of yoga and specifically practice pranayama (breath work), and meditation (dhyana) throughout the semester.

Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: PE 1427 - Ashtanga Foundations or 1 year of consistant yoga practice.
