A special topics course specifically designed for students in the Sloan Program in Health Administration. Possible multiple offerings using adjunct faculty teaching in areas of expertise not covered in depth in the Sloan core curriculum and relevant to students preparing for careers in health management. Format ranges from intensive courses offered over several full days to longer courses meeting on a weekly basis. Each section represents a separate stand-alone course occurring over the dates indicated.

Forbidden Overlaps Forbidden Overlap: Due to an overlap in content, students will only receive credit for either PAM 3110 or PAM 5900 Topic: Key Mgmt Issues-Pharmaceutical & Biotech Industry.  There is no overlap with other topics.

  • This will be a Saturday course, date to be determined. NOTE: There will be two additional two-hour sessions associated with this course, both early morning WebEx sessions with Carter Dredge: (1) Student Q & A regarding course material and questions related to case assignment and (2) Case presentations. Course Pre-Requisites/Requirements: 1. Must be a 2nd-year Sloan Student or by individual exception approved by instructor. To request admission to the course through exception, please send a current resume to Sloan Program Assistant Shannon Lupo (sl2836@cornell.edu) along with a statement why you feel you should be granted an exception (e.g. previous financial experience in healthcare) 2. Students must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, and be comfortable in basic financial modeling.
