Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2018-2019.
Examines a range of interpersonal communication strategies and skills required of successful managers in the workplace. The course explores critical channels of communication distinctly different from formal management presentations and written business documents. Topics include listening skills, leading successful meetings, contributing effectively to meeting conversations, providing effective feedback (constructive criticism and crediting), accepting criticism in the work place, discussion skills, and persuading in dyads and small groups.

* Must Attend First Class* ******MAXIMUM TWO ABSENCES ALLOWED****** Open to Johnson and Grad Students Only Add/Drop Dates: Johnson Students – August 14th at 8:00am thru September 6th at 4:00pm. Non-Johnson Students: September 3rd at 8:00am thru September 6th at 4:00pm. You may add or drop a first-half class after September 6th with permission of the faculty. A late fee of $100.00 will be charged for each add or drop transaction. If you are dropping after September 20th you will also receive a "W" on your transcript in addition to the late fees. Non-Johnson students may add themselves to the waitlists during their enrollment periods, however Johnson Students have priority into the classes and non-Johnsons will be enrolled: 1) IF seats are still available after Johnson students complete their enrollment period and 2) IF the instructor allows.
