Investment in Real Estate Securities and Funds

This course focuses on equity investment in commercial real estate through indirect vehicles. The course builds on standard investment and corporate finance concepts. The high-level learning objectives are to familiarize students with indirect real estate investment and to introduce the analytical tools required to value the firms in that sector.

Permission Note Enrollment limited to 50 students.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: HADM 4280 or HADM 6280 or equivalent course work and securities investment experience.

Satisfies Requirement Elective.

Comments Co-meets with HADM 4271.

  • Prerequisite: HADM 4280 or HADM 6280 (which can be taken concurrently), or equivalent coursework and securities investment experience. . Because of the nature of this course, students may not drop this course after the second week of classes. Undergraduates must enroll in HADM 4271.
