Focuses on organizational systems, planning, and the decision process and how information is used for decision support in organizations. Students are provided with practical skills in developing spreadsheet computer models using Microsoft Excel. Topics include business planning and forecasting, numerical methods, advanced formulas and functions, user-interface design, data protection and validation, importing external data, and output presentation.

When Offered Fall, Spring (weeks 1-7 fall; weeks 1-7 and 8-14 spring).

  • Prerequisite: HADM 1740 Deadline to drop course is end of the first full week of the semester. Due to capacity restraints in the Binenkorb Lab, attendance at the first class is mandatory; no-show students are dropped to make room for stand-by students.
