Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2017-2018.
Covers ordinary differential equations in one and higher dimensions: qualitative, analytic, and numerical methods. Emphasis is on differential equations as models and the implications of the theory for the behavior of the system being modeled and includes an introduction to bifurcations.
When Offered Fall.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: high level of performance in MATH 2210-MATH 2220, MATH 2230-MATH 2240, MATH 1920 and MATH 2940, or permission of instructor. Students will be expected to be comfortable with proofs.
Forbidden Overlaps Forbidden Overlap: Students will not receive credit for both MATH 4200 and MATH 4210/MAE 5790 if either course is taken Fall 2017 or later.
