Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2017-2018.
This course provides an in-depth analysis of the concepts that are most often encountered in the market for fixed income securities. The goals of the course are threefold: (1) to develop the set of tools required to evaluate virtually any fixed income instrument; (2) to illustrate the mechanics and intuition of hedging and other trading and portfoloi strategies; and (3) to explore the key features of both traditional and derivative fixed income instruments. The course focuses on topics that are most likely to have practical relevance for students, while helping students develop a theoretical and mathematical approach to valuation and risk management that will be useful in a wide range of financial applications.
