Laboratory course that provides an introduction to clinical skills students will need when they start their clinical rotations in the Cornell University Hospital for Animals. Clinical procedures include but are not limited to IV, IM and SQ injections, fluid administration, naso- and orogastic tube placement, urinary catheterization, and IV catheterization.  In addition, an introduction to nutrition is provided via lectures on energetics, vitamins and minerals, pet food labels, feeds, and feeding practices.
