Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: courses in statistics, genetics, plant breeding, and quantitative genetics or permission of instructor.

Outcomes
  • Be able to predict response from selection in complex breeding programs.
  • Understand the dynamics of populations under selection.
  • Be able to use best linear unbiased prediction (BLUP) for both conventional and genomic selection.
