This class illuminates the tension between the purpose of a business as defined by its positive impact on society and environment and whether or not that means as a leader you have to give up profitability along the way.  On the one hand, business needs a world that is stable and continues to need its goods and services in ever increasing amounts.  But as if in some giant tragedy of the commons, there are environmental concerns and existential concerns for countries, companies and individuals in a world that continues to splinter into smaller and smaller echo chambers.  How to make sense of this world view?  How does the business world continue to thrive without losing its way?

When Offered Fall.

Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisites: NCC 5040,  NCC 5050 and  NCC 5070.
