Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2015-2016.
Introduction to the representation and design of landscapes and to working in a studio setting. Uses freehand drawing, measured drawing, and model making to understand design principles of the landscape within a cultural and ecological paradigm.

Fees Course fee: required package of drafting equipment plus materials for projects: approx. $300.
Permission Note Enrollment limited to: 22 students.
Course Attribute (CU-SBY)
- Students shall be introduced to the fundamentals of landscape architectural representation including plan section and elevation.
- Students shall be introduced to sketching from observation and freehand drawing for design.
- Students shall be introduced to issues of representation related to scale and measurement.
- Students shall be introduced to Landscape Architecture through cultural and historical precedent.
- Students shall be introduced to digital tools for presentation of their work.
- Students shall be introduced to analog physical modeling.
- Students shall be evaluated based on a series of graphical assignments and iterative exercises.
Regular Academic Session. Choose one laboratory and one studio.
