ECON 3130

Provides an introduction to statistical inference and to principles of probability. It includes descriptive statistics, principles of probability, discrete and continuous distributions, and hypothesis testing (of sample means, proportions, variance). Regression analysis and correlation are introduced.  NOTE: Formerly ECON 3190.

Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: MATH 1110 - MATH 1120 and ECON 1110 or ECON 1120.
Forbidden Overlaps Forbidden Overlap: Students who take ECON 3130 may not receive credit for BTRY 3080/ILRST 3080/STSCI 3080,  ECON 3110/ILRST 3110/STSCI 3110, MATH 4710, MATH 4720.
