PHYS 3323

Topics include electro/magnetostatics, boundary value problems, dielectric and magnetic media, Maxwell's Equations, electromagnetic waves, including guided waves, and sources of electromagnetic radiation. At the level of Introduction to Electrodynamics by Griffiths.

Permission Note Intended for physics majors.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: PHYS 2208 or PHYS 2214 or PHYS 2218 and MATH 2930 (or equivalent and MATH 2940 or equivalent, such as MATH 2210 or MATH 2230). PHYS 3327 covers similar material, but is aimed at students with exceptional backgrounds in physics/math.
Forbidden Overlaps Forbidden Overlap: Students may not receive credit for both PHYS 3323 and PHYS 3327.
