Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2014-2015.
This course teaches the basic skills necessary to sail large 23 - 26 foot sailboats safely. Instruction will be done on large boats to be able to accommodate different weather situations. Skills learned include: sailing terminology, safety and etiquette, boat handling, sail trimming and heavy wind considerations There are a total of sixteen hours of instruction and sailing on Cayuga Lake. Transportation will be provided. Course fee includes all equipment and a copy of a sailing text. Open to sailors of all skill levels.
