At the heart of successful organizations are the people and leaders who make them work. Organizations not only need an effective market strategy, but the ability to implement that strategy. To that end, the focus of this course will be to understand how leaders and managers can navigate their environment to increase the chances of successfully implement organizational strategy. The goal of this course is twofold-the first is to hone your critical thinking skills about organizational problems and the second is to give you the foundation to think smartly about how to influence others and lead change. General topics will include network development, teamwork, motivation, leadership, organizational culture, negotiation, decision-making, and creativity and innovation. The materials for this course will be informed by scholarly research, role-playing activities, and case studies.
