LATIN 1204

Designed to accommodate students who have had some Latin, but are insufficiently prepared to take LATIN 1202. It begins with review of some material covered in LATIN 1201 and then continues with second-term Latin material (LATIN 1202). The class moves swiftly and includes extensive memorization of vocabulary and paradigms; study of Latin syntax; and written homework, quizzes, tests, and oral drills. For students who receive an A- or higher, the sequence is continued by LATIN 2201; those who receive a B+ or lower should continue with LATIN 1205.

Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: placement by departmental examination.
Forbidden Overlaps Forbidden Overlap: Students may not receive credit for both LATIN 1202 and LATIN 1204.
