The Internet and the web offer spaces for large groups of individuals to get together, socialize, exchange information, learn, create, work, and consume. These spaces range from social networking sites, discussion forums, virtual worlds and games, marketplaces, crowdwork systems, and more. This course covers topics and issues related to the design and to the social science of these online spaces.
