Topic 1: Applied Optimization. Spring. This is an introductory course on linear programming with emphasis on modeling and analysis of linear optimization problems. This course includes an introduction to linear programming modeling, duality and post-optimization analysis including sensitivity analysis, worst-case and Monte Carlo approaches. Students will learn how to formulate and solve linear optimization problems using YALMIP toolbox for MATLABTM. Linear programming can be applied to various fields of study, in this course we will cover several examples of applications of linear programming in engineering.
